Household vacuum cleaners are still largely black boxes—hard to repair, impossible to modify, and designed for short product cycles. The OSH Vacuum project reimagines a vacuum cleaner as a fully documented, modular open hardware platform. The project is producing open electronics, firmware, and CAD files, alongside structured documentation. Defined mechanical attachment points and software APIs allow for integration of add-ons, custom sensors, and alternative interfaces.
