Sharing
| Why are you GIG? | GIG is an active community that I would like to interact and share the knowledge I bring from my activities in open source technology and environmental studies. |
Initiative
| Your Organisation or Initiative Name | Hacking Ecology |
| Where is it located? | Barcelona, Spain |
| About it | I’m the coordinator of innovation and development at Hacking Ecology. I have lead the development of the first version of Nayad (https://gitlab.com/hacking-ecology/nayad-modular), and currently coordinate the developments of its new versions (https://gitlab.com/hacking-ecology/nayad). I’m a member of the LoRaTRUST project (https://loratrust.com/), a blockchain-enabled platform that provides trust and accountability to IoT data, a partnership with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Additionally, I participate in the Open Hardware Maker program (https://openhardware.space/) as an expert/advisor for open hardware projects in different stages of development to attract early adopters and final users.
Prior to my current activities, I worked with the Edge & Fog Research Group at the University of Zimbabwe from 2020 to 2022 (which resulted in three conference papers), and have coordinated the Climobike project (2017), which aimed to develop a bike-sensing prototype to map air quality in urban areas. |
