| About it | HubCity, a popular start-up studio, is positioning itself as an alternative to conventional projections of the “Smart City”, which are generally elitist and have a top-down dynamic. It aims to give city dwellers themselves the means to reclaim urban initiative by frequenting places dedicated to emulation around new technologies: the WoeLab(s). The aim of these “Technological Democracy Spaces” is to promote social innovation through responsible ownership of the digital revolution. Prototyped to produce all the digital infrastructure in a 2-kilometre radius, the networked WoeLabs will eventually become the driving force behind a formidable digital collectivism: integrated solutions, services, devices, applications and platforms, the income from which will be redistributed and reinvested in a total and inclusive urban economy. |
