| About your organisation | Iris Hub was established with a vision to address youth and women unemployment through technology and entrepreneurship. Our focus spans multiple sectors including technology, arts, textiles, audiovisual, e-commerce, gaming, and cybersecurity. Through our flagship Iris Accelerator program, we provide 3-6 months of intensive support including initial investment, mentoring, networking opportunities, and a Demo Day for showcasing prototypes. Our success stories include innovative startups like East African Dictionary, BetaPay, Intore Security Lab, and Mentale. We’re dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs across various sectors, including education, agriculture, real estate, and healthcare. Our comprehensive approach includes practical training, mentorship, and access to investment opportunities, making us a key player in Rwanda’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. As a member of the AfriLabs network and partner to organizations like ICT Chamber, Deep Ecosystems, and the Africa Europe Innovation Partnership, we’re committed to fostering an inclusive entrepreneurial culture in Rwanda. Our initiatives include regular workshops, bootcamps, hackathons, and the publication of Iris Magazine. |

| Why are you a member of GIG? | #weareGIG represents a global family of creators, innovators, activists, and dreamers who believe that innovation should be open, human-centered, and accessible to all. To me, it means belonging to a community where ideas are not owned but shared, where collaboration beats competition, and where every voice—regardless of background—can shape the future. |
