GreenLathe is a collective driving scientific innovation rooted in solarpunk values which seeks to empower a sustainable and healthier future by connecting scientists, researchers, inventors, volunteers, activists, and projects. We believe the fight against global warming is best tackled through open science, technology, collective action, and equitable access. Radical transparency and knowledge sharing is one of the most important steps to combat economic and geographical barriers imposed by colonization and corporatism, and can potentially empower communities beyond the limitations of other infrastructure such as money and government. We are still new and forming, so I will answer questions on the application based on our 1st year goals and not necessarily where we currently are (such as open documentation – we’re currently working on github and blog for an open science library but do not have it quite yet).
