Sharing
| Why are you GIG? | We are GIG because our core mission is to empower a global community of creators and changemakers. We believe in the power of local, hands-on solutions to global challenges. Our approach—combining open-source-inspired learning systems (PLAYtoGROW), sustainable tools, and a vision for a better future (Solarpunk)—aligns perfectly with GIG's ethos of enhaning collaboration, sharing knowledge, and creating real-world impact through innovation. |

| About it | SolarPunk NOW is a social impact startup and creative movement that translates hopeful visions of the future into tangible reality. We bridge the gap between the Solarpunk ethos—a world where technology, nature, and humanity coexist harmoniously—and practical action. Our core methodology is Permaculture, which we apply not just to gardening but as a design philosophy for resilient teams, organizations, and educational systems. To make these principles accessible, we developed the Infinity Tools: our reusable, tree-free Stonepaper and the modular 3D construction kit Beenius. Our educational program, PLAYtoGROW, combines these tools and methods into a playful, global learning journey that empowers communities from Berlin to Uganda to become designers of their own regenerative future. We have been co-developing all our initiatives with gig member Jay Cousins. |
