I.O.Me254 is currently a network of community-based social innovation and prototyping centers presently located in Lamu (I.O.Me005) and Mombasa (I.O.Me001), Kenya. These centers are equipped with cutting-edge fabrication equipment and shared tools to facilitate product ideation and development through digital fabrication. They provide resources to guide these ideas into enterprises via incubation and offer an environment conducive to nurturing the practice of making. This promotes creativity and frugal innovation through peer learning and tinkering.

Initiated by the Kenya Red Cross Society in 2020, I.O.Me254 focuses on community empowerment through productive youth engagement, skills development, and access to digital infrastructure. By inspiring innovators, technology enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs, the centers aim to encourage rapid testing of new concepts, products, and businesses development.
