We’re excited to invite you to a special make-a-thek community call ahead of Fashion Revolution Week 2026. The meetup will bring together library practitioners, cultural institutions, and circular fashion advocates to explore how communities can be mobilized around more sustainable fashion systems.
Together with Ariane Piper (Fashion Revolution Germany) and Agata Zgliczynska (Circular Fashion Foundation / Fashion Revolution Poland), we will explore how collective action can move from idea to practice and how and how local initiatives can connect to a global movement.. Through insights and case studies, such as Agata’s project “Libraries as Bridges to Community Projects: Uniting People Around Saving Craftsmanship”, we will discuss how libraries can become meeting points that connect communities, NGOs, and volunteers around preserving craftsmanship and advancing circular fashion.
The aim of the meetup is to exchange ideas and explore how libraries and cultural institutions can act as hubs for civic engagement, textile storytelling, and community-led circular fashion initiatives.
