Community Call: Makerspaces in Universities

For the upcoming Community Call, there will be an open discussion with some experienced speakers and members on establishing Makerspaces in Universities and Libraries. This topic is a spin-off to the ‘New Beginning Calls’ you can watch here.

The speakers will discuss their journey in establishing Makerspaces in Universities, the idea behind it, the vision and obstacles they face/d. This call is great if you are thinking of starting or approaching universities and other institutions on all kinds of making activities.

We will have with us Maik Jähnefrom part of Open Workshops Network in Germany, Leyla Yunis, Director at Maker Institute in Prague, our own Saad Chinoy from Edible Makerpsapce in Singapore and Yuri Vlasyuk from Ukraine who is a producer of the Ukrainian Maker Faire’s and Ukrainian makerspaces Association.
