During the many conversations leading up to our FAB2025 pitch, we recognized that our mission goes beyond just hosting an event – ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠it’s about building lasting connections and fostering digital fabrication and maker culture across the Czech Republic, Europe, and beyond.
We see “Bridge the Gap” as both a personal commitment and a call to action. Each one of us, and together as a community, can contribute to this effort and help bridge the gap. The gaps we aim to address are reflected in our chosen program tracks. Is it about bringing seasoned FabLab experts and newcomers together? Finding sustainable ways to utilize new technology? Bringing maker projects to market? Accelerating the diffusion of digital fabrication into standard education? Bringing FabLabs to isolated locations and underprivileged communities? Ensuring that open-source technology is used rightfully? You name it. We believe that with FAB2025, we can start to bridge these gaps.
