Scholarship for Journalists from Countries in Crisis or at War

Rest and Refuge Scholarship is a project run by Reporters Without Borders Germany and taz Panter Foundation, a non-profit organization linked to „die tageszeitung“ (taz), a daily newspaper from Berlin. We invite three journalists from countries in crisis or war to stay in Berlin. We offer them a time of refuge and rest for three months. Who can apply? + Journalists who need a time out from their difficult working conditions. This might be the case after covering stories in an oppressive environment or after covering stories in war or unrest. + Journalists who feel the need to lie low awhile and get out of the view of state security because of their journalistic work. What we offer: We offer travel expenses, a decent apartment, a monthly stipend of €1000 and free transportation in Berlin for three months. Is Peace a Commons?

Instituto Procomum launches a magazine with reports and reflections about the role of citizen innovation labs for peace, based on concrete experiences in post-conflict Colombia. Between February 13th and 25th of 2018, the Laboratory of Citizen Innovation for Peace in Colombia #LABICxlaPAZ prototyped ten citizenship projects (chosen by a public call, with proponents and collaborators from all Ibero-America), promoting Peace and improving people's lives after the agreement between the FARCs and the government of the country. The event was held in Pasto, Nariño, in the south of the country, the most affected region by armed conflicts.
