| About it | SwahiliBox is a technology innovation lab based in Mombasa. It has spawned both a Maker Space (Known as Maker’s Hub Likoni – which is currently inactive) as we as AAA Platforms (which is a professional consultancy). Although the MakersHub program was deprecated, SwahiliBox still continues offering capacity building for Electronics and IoT. The consultancy (AAA Platforms) works as a Social Enterprise and for Profit operation for SwahiliBox – in that – it allows SwahiliBox to get execute on real world software projects. The beneficiaries of this are SwahiliBox members. These members gain real life skills in Software Development. Some SwahiliBox Alumni have ended up working with organizations like Microsoft, Andela, Bolt, Safaricom, among others. |
